SATANIC PANIC Presents: Occult Offerings

The Black Museum and Rue Morgue Magazine are pleased to present a Satanic social for Spectacular Optical‘s latest book, Satanic Panic: Pop Cultural Paranoia in the 1980s, featuring a never-before-seen video compilation of some of the most outlandish (and hilarious) Christian ’80s VHS releases. Covering the cultural hysteria over supposed demonic influence of role playing games, heavy metal and horror films from the 1980s, the video was curated by Black Museum co-founder Paul Corupe, who co-edited the Satanic Panic book with Kier-La Janisse, and provides the perfect companion to the book’s in-depth look at the decade’s fears of Satanic forces hiding in our TVs, radios and bookshelves. Join some of the book’s local contributors for this free event and premiere screening.
